|Creator:||Lucas County (Ohio). Auditors Office|
|Description:||The Block Card Collection was originally created by the Lucas County Auditor's Office to provide a visual record of properties for tax assessment purposes. The collection begins about 1937, as a project of the Works Projects Administration (WPA), and was continued until about 1965. Because these photographs were collected for tax assessment, if a building was demolished before 1970, the photograph was usually discarded.|
